Job Summary


The Accounting Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting applications associated with and including Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP). This includes all planning, execution, and support of maintaining, configuring, and updating the system as well as security planning, integrations and providing business and technical support. The Accounting Systems Administrator will serve as the key liaison and business process expert for ERP systems, supporting all aspects of Microsoft Dynamics GP, including information feeds to and from the system.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support all Microsoft Dynamics-GP environments, including Development and Production
  • Administer hot fixes, service packs, and version upgrades
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for current environment configurations and business processes
  • Proficient administer customization and integration tools, modified forms and reports, and smart list builder
  • Administer security roles and tasks
  • Implement standards and procedures for administration activities for Microsoft Dynamics-GP
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Dynamics-GP user problems, including issues with integrations to/from other systems, and deliver resolutions in a timely manner
  • Provide help-desk end-user support of Microsoft Dynamics-GP and ERP applications as necessary
  • Assist in solving production problems, including off hours and weekend support as needed
  • Server as subject matter expert for daily use of ERP applications
  • Create and maintain financial reports using accounting and financial reporting systems
  • Maintains documents changes and security for Audits
  • Manage projects that could include integrating information from new/existing software (POS and other systems), and/or third parties (banks, credit card services, vendors, etc.)

Reporting Structure

The Accounting Systems Administrator reports to the VP of Accounting/Controller and provides direct support to this position and the First Watch Accounting Team. This position also acts as the liaison between the Accounting and IT departments.  This position has no direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years Microsoft Dynamics GP experience including Integration Manager
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial aspects of ERP systems
  • Microsoft SQL Server Database administration, maintenance, upgrades, backup and recovery
  • Extensive experience with large scale and multiple integrations
  • Experience implementing accounting systems / reporting software
  • Experience with BlackLine, Management Reporter, ProLease, Payroll Systems/feeds, Expense Reimbursement software, Purchasing and/or Inventory systems, a plus

Additional Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to view computer monitors for prolonged periods of time, give & receive oral communication and discern color
  • Must be able to type, perform simple repetitive grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis
  • Must commute to and from work location when requested/required
  • Must be able to travel on rare occasions, as needed, for company business
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule that could include nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the needs of the business
