Job Summary

The primary role of the License Coordinator is to manage the web-based license tracking programing including the input, review and maintenance of data related to the First Watch Restaurants operating permits and licenses. This position is responsible for the timely submission of applications and renewals to the respective municipalities for all First Watch entities.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions in this job description are not all-inclusive of this position’s duties and responsibilities. Reliable and dependable attendance is required. This job is based out of the Sarasota, Florida corporate office.

•Submit applications and renewals for all licenses and permits required for restaurant operations including but not limited to, liquor license, business license, and health permits.
•Maintain web-based license tracking program, including review and maintenance of data relating to license and permit applications.
•Work with the License Manager, legal counsel and real estate/development teams on all restaurants and license acquisitions and new restaurant openings
•Review and sort parcels daily; respond in a timely manner to invoices to respective governmental agencies, including any required backup, floor plans, training certificates, license copies, insurance certificates and bonds.
•Prepare food and beverage sales calculations as required for business and liquor license renewals.
•Obtain licenses from local and national municipalities. Scan, copy, enter into tracking database before mailing original copies to respective restaurant to be properly displayed.
•Maintain contact with the local, state and federal agencies as questions arise on license applications and license issuance.
•Follow up with operations teams on licenses that may have been sent directly to the restaurants to obtain copies.
•Monitor expiration alerts generated by license tracking system.
•Perform moderate research on various liquor laws as needed to keep restaurants in compliance - drafts memoranda for the License Manager for distribution to operations as needed.
•Assure continued compliance of all liquor licenses by processing and filing restaurant management changes to alcohol agencies as required by state laws and as needed.
•Prepare check requests and backup.



Requirements:
Qualifications

•High School Diploma or equivalency required; Associate degree preferred
•Minimum 3-5 years in an administrative or support role
•Multi-unit restaurant or retail industry experience is preferred, but not required
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
•Takes ownership of assigned areas
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence
•Able to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
•Bring a hands-on style and ability to deliver results in a fast-moving company
•Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail
•Demonstrate willingness to assist and support others
•Dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor
•Strong data entry skills with high level of accuracy

Physical Requirements

•Must be able to continuously see, view computer monitors, give & receive oral communication
•Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis
•Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule as dictated by the needs of the business
