Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting human resources analytical, payroll and data functions with the oversight of the Payroll Administrator. The position requires a basic understanding of payroll systems to carry out the principles and standards that support the Company’s business and human resources related responsibilities.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
•Provide written and oral information to team members concerning payroll inquiries; assists in the preparation of the biweekly payroll; reviews and processes employee payroll changes.
•Assist field by running audit reports and reaching out to managers to correct data flowing to payroll.
•Communicates with all levels of team members to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
•As requested, investigates and issues manual check requests
•Field paid sick leave questions from the field as it relates to their balances.
•Makes recommendations for improvements to payroll procedures.
•Update payroll records and prepares payroll for processing.
•Enter data from personnel/payroll forms into the ADP data system.
•Answer questions about payroll matters which require limited policy interpretation.
•Send garnishment orders to third party vendor for processing.
•Completes forms requiring payroll data.


Requirements:
•Associate degree preferred, high school diploma required
•ADP Experience is a plus
•Very good interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating information to all levels within the organization.
•Basic proficiency in excel is beneficial.
•Payroll conversion experience is a plus.
•Multi•state tax experience is a plus.
•MS Office and email proficiency
•As needed work a varied schedule that could include nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by the needs of the business and at the request of the Payroll Manager.
IV.Other Key Qualifications
•Strong garnishment administration background preferred.
•HRIS experience is a plus
•Provide support regarding internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment within the organization's “day to day” payroll and payroll support function.
•Relies on knowledge and skills to plan and accomplish goals.
