Job Summary 

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst performs financial analyses that support the company’s long term growth strategy including pro forma development for new restaurant sites, evaluating transfer impacts, and ad hoc analyses relating to operations and maintenance decisions within the existing restaurant portfolio. The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will be tasked with leading the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a new scalable portfolio growth model and leading discussions with senior executives regarding new investment opportunities. This role is the key Finance partner of the Real Estate Development team but will also partner extensively across other business teams (Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, and others) to enhance our suite of real estate analytics and forecasting tools. 


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop (and regularly update) a state•of•the•art Real Estate Evaluation model that incorporates key investment metrics including: ROI, Cash•on•Cash, NPV, IRR, Payback Period, and more 
  • Perform extensive data•gathering and analysis 
  • Evaluate and monitor sales transfer/cannibalization 
  • Determine and continually evaluate key correlators of successful new growth 
  • Partner with Real Estate team to develop and enhance Development Strategies for DMA’s and trade areas 
  • Partner with Real Estate team to comprehensively evaluate all new locations presented to Real Estate Committee and support team with analytical Real Estate Committee presentation slides


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s degree is preferred) 
  • Minimum of seven years working in the finance/analytic field, preferably with development in a fast•growing company in the retail or restaurant industry, Consumer Packaged Goods, or other Customer•Facing Businesses 
  • Strong analytic and strategically•oriented background, including extensive experience with various analytic tools and approaches 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills 
  • A solid level of competency in computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • Expert knowledge in Real Estate project evaluation metrics including: ROI, Cash•on•Cash, NPV, IRR, Payback Period, and more

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to continuously see.  Able to frequently stand, walk, view computer monitors, give & receive oral communication, bend, squat, rech above shoulder level, and discern color
  • Must be able to occassionally sit, drive, type, and make fine discriminations in sound, perform repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing/pulling on an occassional basis
  • Ability to travel to and from work locations when requested/required
  • Flexible and willing to work a varied scheudle that could include nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by the needs of the business
