Job Description

Job Summary

Manages the process of new restaurant openings and renovations primarily from Real Estate Committee approval to the start of construction and performs due diligence work on all locations. This position is based out of the Home Office in Bradenton, Florida.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions in this job description are not all-inclusive of this position’s duties and responsibilities.  Reliable and dependable attendance is required.

  • Manage schedules throughout the development process, including management of operating weeks Plan and Actual
  • Continuously monitor and update project budgets
  • Maintain the Planning Platform
  • Perform and maintain due diligence activities for new locations and renovations
  • Manage the Development processes throughout the life cycle of a project
  • Manage site planning and coordinate jurisdictional/municipal approvals for all locations
  • Manage data and maintain Development Department database and infrastructure


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Engineering, Architecture or Business Finance preferred
  • 5 years’ experience working with Development processes in a fast-growing company, preferably in the restaurant industry or other multi-unit, multi-state hospitality/retail chain
  • Track record of successful project completions and high customer satisfaction
  • Residence within a reasonable commute of the Home Office 
  • Ability to travel 2-3 days per month to visit job sites, on an as-needed basis

  • Strong focus on thorough planning, consistent communication, and attention to detail. Must have a process-orientated style
  • High level of independent thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  •  Ability to prioritize, complete multiple tasks and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) with a relationship development focus
  • A solid level of competency in computer skills (Word, Excel, Scheduling, etc.) and strong presentation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of regulations and permits required
  • Initiative and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external partners
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule as dictated by the needs of the business
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance

Additional Physical Requirements

  • General sedentary work requiring the use of office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, scanners and telephones.
  • Must be able to continuously see, view computer monitors, give & receive oral communication
  • Able to frequently perform repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling
  • Ability to regularly sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a normal restaurant environment where the noise level is usually moderate and occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.
