IT Corporate Analyst

Location: Bradenton

Overview

The First Watch IT Corporate Analyst will be responsible for supporting an array of corporate systems technology including SharePoint, ERP, and other technologies as determined by IT leadership.  The role will require developing an overall general understanding of the corporate technology and its use at First Watch, including providing technical expertise in troubleshooting issues and guiding future enhancements. Additionally, the role will partner with the IT Business Analyst to identify new and current technical solutions to support the ongoing corporate technology needs. The IT Corporate Analyst must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, where being highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable is of utmost importance while maintaining a professional and positive attitude. Due to the fast-paced nature of the business, he/she must remain calm under pressure and remain focused, professional, and organized.  Responsibilities will involve performing routine and occasional non-routine assignments requiring independent judgment.

  • Support a broad portfolio of applications including, SharePoint, Business Intelligence, ERP, and other corporate system deemed necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with business, IT, and vendors to ensure all applications are performing optimally and provide troubleshooting/resolution as necessary.
  • General knowledge of the principles of data warehousing and data warehousing tools.
  • Create application designs/configurations that leverage application strengths to meet business needs.
  • Develop communications to end users to promote efficient use of the system.
  • Act as primary ongoing owner for support of implemented systems. This includes implementing planned changes, as well as diagnosing and resolving all ad-hoc issues.
  • Submit and track modifications and enhancements to applications including estimates, approvals, notifications, etc.

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Engineering or Computer Science majors are a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Enterprise IT
  • Comfort working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
  • Solid knowledge of structured methodology/processes for implementing business applications
  • History of creating strong documentation for deliverables

Real Estate Manager

Location: Bradenton

Overview

The Real Estate Manager will be responsible managing and supporting Real Estate functions relating primarily to new restaurant openings, both in the development of strategic plans and in site selection. This role will work and report out of the Mid-Atlantic Region (Primarily Maryland & Virginia).

  • Work with the VP of Real Estate to identify targeted trade areas for development by gathering and evaluating market data
  • Conduct high-quality trade area reviews in targeted trade areas
  • Work with local brokers and developers to procure a targeted number of new restaurant openings and keeping brokers informed of new initiatives and standards related to First Watch real estate
  • Build and manage the pipeline of potential sites in specific markets identified for expansion to ensure First Watch meets development strategy
  • Manage and update Development Market Strategies, including research, data management
  • Prepare and present proposed locations at Real Estate Committee meetings
  • Negotiate and review Letters of Intent
  • Work with VP and Director of Development to bring all aspects of new restaurant openings together in the designated territory (leasing, scheduling, budgeting)
  • Follow deals through the development pipeline and work with legal to ensure timely and successful lease signing
  • Manage lease renewal process for existing locations in-territory, to make lease renewal decisions as well as to evaluate relocation opportunities
  • As required, this position will support and monitor the development process in the existing company and franchise markets

 


Qualifications

  • Four (4) college degree in a related field is preferred
  • Five years of experience in the Lease Administration/Asset Management field, at least three in a leadership role for a fast-growing company (restaurant industry preferred)
  • Three years' experience in negotiating leases and renewals is required

Director of Real Estate (Northeast)

  • Preparation and management of Development Market Strategies for new growth, for corporate markets
  • Hiring and working with brokers to analyze and select new site locations
  • Negotiating all aspects of Letters of Intent
  • Assist in lease negotiations and the creation of lease exhibits
  • Working with Development Team to bring all aspects of new restaurant openings together (design, scheduling, budgeting)
  • Preparing materials and presentation of new site opportunities at Real Estate Committee meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred

Financial Analyst

  • Assist in preparation of strategic reviews, quarterly forecasts and annual plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/or Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Solid understanding of financial statement analysis, statistical analysis, corporate finance and financial modeling is required

Dir of Operations - Atlanta

Location: Atlanta

Overview

The Director of Operations is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of First Watch through all that he/she does in their role every day. The DO’s primary purpose is to develop General Managers and restaurant management teams to build and increase sales over the previous year and improve profitability, while ensuring employee and guest satisfaction, without compromising the integrity or You First culture of the concept. The Director of Operations is responsible for the success of all First Watch operations within their span of control (5-8 direct reports and 200-300 employees).  This position will reside in the greater Atlanta metro area.

 


Responsibilities

  • Leads operational activities for a group of First Watch Restaurants by performing the following in accordance with Company guidelines regarding management development, sales, and profitability, planning and customer and employee relations
  • Trains, coaches and develops General Managers and Operations Managers, through timely performance and observation feedback and evaluations
  • Follows up on training of MIT's/CAFE’s and hourly employees. Works closely with the Training General Manager to monitor progress
  • Ensures development of Operations Managers within compliance of the FW management development programs
  • Through effective manpower planning executes the continuous development of the management team and ensures timely and cost effective recruitment of restaurant level management and their training within First Watch
  • Ensures the maintenance of a safe and harassment free workplace in all restaurants

Facilities Manager

Location: Bradenton

Overview

The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance of the building and grounds of multiple restaurant locations, assisting the restaurant management team in the oversight, purchasing and upkeep of equipment and supplies. The Facilities Manager works with the local management team to make sure the building and grounds are maintained, which includes determining and scheduling regular maintenance, repairs and renovation projects. This position must oversee scheduled work as well as negotiate with outside vendors for supplies, repairs and other measures.  This role will report out of the corporate office and will support Company owned restaurants throughout Florida and the Atlanta markets.

  • Oversee building projects, maintenance and repair of all restaurant systems, assets and site improvements, including building, parking areas, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utilities and infrastructure systems
  • Implement and monitor proactive preventative maintenance programs for each facility. Monitor improvements to energy efficiency, HVAC, life safety, equipment, grease traps, landscaping, etc.
  • Schedule vendors to perform work in designated restaurants and provide onsite oversight as needed
  • Continually source and re-qualify suppliers. Perform routine assessment of vendor performance, pricing, on-time delivery, specifications, quality of product, workmanship, responsiveness, and issue resolution for the restaurants and other company assets.
  • Serve as lead contact for contracts, contact negotiation, and warranty oversight
  • Contribute to the development and management of facility maintenance capital projects and budgets for restaurants and other related assets subject to purchase, maintenance and repair
  • Under the direction of the Facilities Director, execute all capital projects with time and cost expectations.  Audit and approve invoices for scheduled and negotiated work
  • Coordinate with restaurant management regarding all facilities activity in the building
  • Provide guidance to operations on basic upkeep and maintenance tasks, repair/replace decisions as well as vendor contact and oversight and emergency procedures
  • Respond to calls on a 24-7 basis to promptly resolve urgent needs of facilities at existing restaurants
  • Regularly visit sites to evaluate conditions and identify potential repairs and facility maintenance projects
  • Inform supervisor by written status report and identification of issues requiring escalation or assistance
  • Ensure that restaurants meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or minimum of 5 years of experience as a Facilities Director or Facilities Manager
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food service industry, commercial building environment, multiunit restaurant experience preferred
  • Experience managing a budget, reviewing P&L  and vendor management
  • Proficient in procurement and asset management software applications
  • Requires a hands-on, self-starter that has a clear aptitude for the systems, mechanics, and structural components of commercial buildings, infrastructure and maintenance, including such as utilities HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Ability to evaluate efficiencies such as energy consumption and other needs provided by service providers (for example gas, water, and electricity companies).
  • A solid level of competency in computer skills (Word, Excel, Scheduling, Estimating, etc.) is required
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time, more often in emergency situations

Manager of FP&A

Location: Bradenton

Overview

The Manager of FP&A is responsible for leading a team of analysts who provide finance and decision support for First Watch’s portfolio of restaurants. This includes developing plans and forecasts, providing routine performance reporting and creating ad hoc analyses.

 

This role requires a self-starter with excellent business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail and focus on time management as well as the ability to challenge conventional thinking in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is able to work seamlessly across multiple functions, including operations, culinary, supply chain and marketing, to evaluate and influence decisions/programs that affect operations in our restaurants, drive demand and manage costs.

  • Manages short-term forecasting and annual long-term planning process; building and maintaining complex financial models focused on Restaurant-Level and Corporate P&L performance for a growing organization

Overview

The Director of Operations is responsible for supporting the mission, vision and values of First Watch through all that he/she does in their role every day. Tax Accountant

The Tax Accountant is responsible for implementation of tax policies and procedures in each tax jurisdiction in which the company operates while remaining in compliance with tax laws and accounting policies. This position will have primary responsibility for preparation of all tax related functions, as well as interface with outsourced vendor providing tax compliance services.

  • Accurate and timely preparation and filing of federal, state and local sales and use tax returns as well as all other areas of tax compliance in adherence with applicable tax laws.
  • Work closely with our third-party tax advisors to manage the accounting for corporate income taxes throughout the year, including gathering all appropriate information and performing a detailed review of quarterly and year-end provisions
  • Prepare financial statement tax disclosures in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 740) for quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate internal controls for income taxes
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s business and proactively work alongside Director of Tax and outsourced vendor on tax consequences of proposed business flow changes
  • Liaison with management and accounting staff on any tax issues
  • Provide relevant support for any federal, state and local tax audits (e.g., income tax, sales and use tax)
  • Retain tax records and other required reports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, updates and revisions and inform senior management of issues affecting First Watch

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting. Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • 2+ years of related experience with at least 1 year working in a national public accounting firm and/or in a public corporation

Overview

The Accounting Director will support a variety of accounting functions with a primary focus on overseeing the Accounts Payable team, overseeing the Cash team and the preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and SEC rules.   • Assist with Monthly Close, including hard quarter-end close and year-end

  • Research and lead accounting for complex topics (examples: accounting for business combinations, minority interest accounting, lease accounting, etc.)
  • Document accounting policies and procedures which includes fully and completely understanding assigned processes and transaction flow
  • Liaise with other functions at First Watch to understand accounting implications related to any upcoming operational changes
  • Lead continuous process improvement by constantly evaluating processes and updating documentation
  • Incorporate internal controls into processes as warranted to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements, protect company assets and build efficiencies

Qualifications

The Vice President of Investor Relations (“VP, Investor Relations”) manages the Investor Relations strategic roadmap as the primary liaison between the Company and the investor community, working closely with the CEO, CFO and other members of the leadership team to develop the Company “voice” and clearly communicate the Company's strategy, growth opportunities, and business initiatives.
