Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Bradenton

Overview

This position is responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable processing.  We are seeking an experienced candidate who can process Accounts Payable, analyze statements and reports, and work with vendors to reconcile and resolve discrepancies.  The Accounts Payable Specialist will also be equipped to contribute to our continuous process improvement efforts.

  • Perform all aspects of Accounts Payable with multiple systems at high volume
  • Verify documentation to process payment
  • Verify incoming AP batches for accuracy, resolve any errors
  • Perform data entry functions processing AP
  • Ensure policies and procedures are applied to payment processes
  • Perform research and problem solving for vendor account reconciliation
  • Provide reporting to upper management as required
  • Keep AP records on file for easy access by accounting and other personnel
  • Duties related to vendor maintenance
  • Review and process expense reports and ensure the expenses are accurately coded and have sufficient documentation
  • Review, enter and process invoices and ensure the accuracy of amounts and coding
  • Cross train and assist other team members as needed
  • Assist in the development of forms, procedures and work instructions

Qualifications

  • High School graduate / GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • Experience with an organization of equal or greater volume and complexity
  • Computer skills including ability to use software including experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Experience with Great Plains or similar accounting software
  • Experience with expense reimbursement software like Concur or Expensify a plus
  • Experience with a large purchasing system a plus
  • Strong understanding of the Accounts Payable process
  • Basic math skills, including ability to verify the accuracy of invoice details, calculations and total charges
  • Analytical skills to find disparities in documents and reports

Design Project Manager

Location: Bradenton

Overview

As a member of the Design Team, this individual will primarily be responsible for criteria standards, signage procurement / permitting, and support the Director with space planning and managing new restaurant openings (NRO’s) drawing phases. This role requires knowledge of industry standards to successfully deliver creative development in a collaborative environment.

  • Signage procurement and permit / variance tracking and reporting
  • Operate graphic reproduction software, AutoCAD, Photoshop Suite, & SketchUp 3D modeling to create and update drawings
  • Assist Director with signage design, space planning for NRO location and managing outside vendors including Renderings, Food Service, & Architectural vendors
  • Provide technical support in the creation of floor plans, Interior décor, visual renderings of Interior and Exterior environment designs and all necessary design functions to establish standards of architectural criteria details

Qualifications

IT Support Desk Technician

Location: Bradenton

Overview

The IT Service Desk Technician is part of an IT team and provides tier 1 IT support throughout the organization. IT Service Desk Technician’s primary role is providing technical support for software, hardware, database and applications, to employees and our restaurants by performing problem diagnosis and triage and providing timely solutions to the end-users remotely. We are looking for a team player who clearly communicates technical solutions in a professional manner; setup and install hardware and software; Active directory user administration, provide desk side assistance to users; documenting all support activities; and performing related work as required. Director of FP&A

Overview

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for establishing the pace of the Finance team; leading the financial planning cadence of the business including Long-Term Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan, routine Quarterly Forecasts, and month end executive reporting.  The Director hires, leads, and develops a team of high-performing managers and analysts that partner cross-functionally with several teams within operations and the home office to conduct insightful, actionable analyses.   • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of corporate financial planning experience required, preferably for a publicly traded company
  • MBA/Graduate Degree a plus
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, consolidations/financial modeling and overall financial analysis
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SQL

Overview

The Accounting Administrative Assistant will provide clerical assistance to the Accounting department.  This position compiles and maintains accounts payable files and records, works closely with internal staff and serves as a point of contact for field operators in a fast-paced environment.  The role will also be equipped to contribute to our continuous process improvement efforts.

Director of Real Estate - Chicago

Location: Bradenton

Overview

Manages and supports Real Estate functions relating primarily to new restaurant openings, both in the development of strategic plans and in site selection in the Chicago market.

  • Work with the VP of Real Estate to identify targeted trade areas for development by gathering and evaluating market data
  • Conduct high-quality trade area reviews in targeted trade areas
  • Work with local brokers and developers to procure a targeted number of new restaurant openings and keeping brokers informed of new initiatives and standards related to First Watch real estate
  • Build and manage the pipeline of potential sites in specific markets identified for expansion to ensure First Watch meets development strategy
  • Manage and update Development Market Strategies, including research, data management
  • Prepare and  present proposed locations at Real Estate Committee meetings
  • Negotiate and review Letters of Intent
  • Work with VP and Director of Development to bring all aspects of new restaurant openings together in the designated territory (leasing, scheduling, budgeting)
  • Follow deals through the development pipeline and work with legal to ensure timely and successful lease signing
  • Manage lease renewal process for existing locations in-territory, to make lease renewal decisions as well as to evaluate relocation opportunities
  • As required, this position will support and monitor the development process in the existing company and franchise markets

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of three years in a) Real Estate or leadership position within high new-unit-growth business is required, preferably in the restaurant industry, b) retail brokerage of one or more high growth full service or fast-casual restaurant concept, or c) landlord representation of two or more high profile centers with extensive fast-casual and full-service restaurant presence
  • Current residence or recent work experience in the Chicago metro area strongly preferred

Financial Planning Analyst - Real Estate

Location: Bradenton

Overview

The Financial Planning Analyst will be tasked with enhancement and maintenance of a portfolio growth model and leading discussions with senior executives regarding new investment opportunities. This role is a key Finance partner of the Real Estate Development team but will also partner extensively across other business teams (Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, and others) to enhance our suite of real estate analytics and forecasting tools.

  • Maintain and regularly update a state-of-the-art Real Estate Evaluation model that incorporates key investment metrics including: ROI, Cash-on-Cash, NPV, IRR, Payback Period, etc.
  • Perform extensive data-gathering and analysis
  • Evaluate and monitor sales transfer/cannibalization
  • Determine and continually evaluate key correlators of successful new growth
  • Leverage multiple data sources including PlacerAI, ESite Analytics, and Data Warehouse
  • Partner with Real Estate team to develop and enhance Development Strategies for DMA’s and trade areas
  • Partner with Real Estate team to comprehensively evaluate all new locations presented to Real Estate Committee and support team with analytical Real Estate Committee presentation slides

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/or Graduate degree in Finance, Account, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum of two years working in the finance/analytic field, preferably with development in a fast-growing company in the retail or
  • restaurant industry, consumer packaged goods, or other customer-facing businesses
  • Strong analytic and strategically-oriented background, including experience with various analytic tools and approaches
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand First Watch’s business model through metrics and analysis that drive to insight and action.
  • A solid level of competency in computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Overview

The Vice President of Investor Relations (“VP, Investor Relations”) manages the Investor Relations strategic roadmap as the primary liaison between the Company and the investor community, working closely with the CEO, CFO and other members of the leadership team to develop the Company “voice” and clearly communicate the Company's strategy, growth opportunities, and business initiatives. The position will also gather feedback from the investor community to communicate  to management and the board of directors. 

 

The Vice President, Investor Relations will be the primary contact with the investment community, including current investors, potential investors, buy-side and sell-side analysts. This individual will be responsible for the preparation, analysis and support for all investor communications such as quarterly earnings releases and presentations, analyst conference calls, investor conferences, investor presentations, investor inquiries and roadshows. The VP, Investor Relations will also lead the surveillance of shareholder activity and develop the strategy for identifying and engaging with investors.The VP, Investor Relations will be critical to the process of setting, monitoring and adjusting market expectations in line with the Company’s expected performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive, proactive, strategic investor relations program that communicates the Company's value proposition to all constituents, including analysts and shareholders.

  • Partner cross-functionally to help drive First Watch’s IR strategy around ESG and Sustainability, including building relevant relationships within the investment community that serve to inform and advise senior management, the Board, and lines of business on ESG matters.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other related area. Advanced degree in Finance or an MBA, CPA or CFA distinction preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience with 5+ years of corporate investor relations experience. Experience in the restaurant, retail or hospitality industry a plus
  • Vast experience in financial modeling and in-depth financial analysis
  • Expert understanding of multiple financial models and forecasts prepared both internally and externally
  • Proven success in developing investor confidence and articulation of a Company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
  • An in-depth understanding of SEC regulations and securities disclosure and filing requirements
  • High level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality of information when required

Construction Project Manager

As a member of the Construction Team this individual will primarily be responsible for estimating and managing new restaurant openings (NRO’s) and Renovation Projects.  This includes tracking and ordering from all owner vendors as well as hiring and supporting a network of general contractors to ensure timelines and budgets are met.

  • Assists with due diligence, estimates and contract negotiations. Participates in development and reconciliation of capital estimates
  • Protects brand standards and quality control over new development projects
  • Ensures construction administration process is developed and executed. Manages project expenditures and job cost accounting processes including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, and tracking
  • Ensures compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes
  • Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing
  • Responsible for the development of the project schedule and schedule updates
  • Performs project close out including final paperwork, job walk through and any other follow up items with restaurant operations teams
  • Ensures inspections and permits are approved and closed out prior to restaurant turn over dates

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience working on commercial construction projects.  Restaurant/retail experience a plus
  • Experience managing subcontractors or a subcontractor-based business preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of regulations and permits required
  • Track record of successful project completions and high customer satisfaction
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time to visit job sites and commute to the corporate office in Bradenton, Florida when not traveling
